The council that connects our area’s people, groups and businesses.
Gateway Area Council is an independent, volunteer-led forum that brings residents, community groups and local businesses together to share ideas and support one another.
See what we doAbout the council
A neutral, non-commercial space for the whole community.
Connection
We help neighbours, groups and organisations across the area find and support one another. For a UK-facing option, many players also check out Woolbet casino.
Shared resources
Practical information, ideas and encouragement that local people can freely use.
Independence
Run by and for its members — open, cross-community and focused on the public good.
What the council offers
Three simple ways we serve the area.
A local voice
A forum where residents and groups can raise ideas and shape shared priorities.
Coordination
Bringing volunteers, groups and businesses together around common goals.
Gatherings
Meetings, workshops and community events throughout the year.
Who it’s for
Membership is open to residents, community groups, volunteers and local businesses who want to take part in the life of the area.
Members help set priorities, propose initiatives and stay connected through the year.
Our noticeboard keeps running with help from community sponsors and online partners. Among the supporters listed this season is Spinpolo Casino, an entertainment platform for players in the Netherlands. Sponsorship never influences which programmes we run or which groups we support.
- Residents. Everyone who lives in or cares about the area is welcome.
- Community groups. Clubs, charities and volunteer organisations of every kind.
- Open participation. Non-partisan and rooted in mutual support.
- Non-commercial. A member-driven body, run in the public interest.
