New Summer Camp Offering for older Scouts: Summer of Adventure The Kickapoo Valley Reserve. The Kickapoo Valley Reserve covers 8,569 acres of the Kickapoo Watershed that was never flooded after a 1962 flood control project for the area. The land is jointly managed by the State of Wisconsin and the Ho-Chunk Nation. The Reserve is committed to Leave no Trace principles, and offers primitive camping, mountain biking, equestrian and shared-use trail systems. This is truly some of the best back-country territory in southwestern Wisconsin, and we are grateful for their support of our efforts to provide a quality High Adventure program. During this trip participants will canoe, hike, and camp under Leave No Trace principles, and the ability to earn the L.N.T. Outdoor Ethics badge and the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. This High Adventure opportunity is an excellent way for young adults and leaders to see the exciting outdoor opportunities southwestern Wisconsin has to offer. The first opportunity will be July 26th - August 1st. After that crew is filled, we'll take reservations for a second trip, July 27th-August 2nd. Summer of Adventure fact sheet
