Scouting Programs

Tiger Cubs
A program for first grade boys with the motto, "Search, Discover, Share." The boy participates with an adult in the program designed to strengthen family bonds, provide an introduction to Cub Scouting, and make Scouting available to more boys.

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouting is for boys in the second through fifth grades. It is a family-centered program which capitalizes on a boy’s natural interests and creates a stronger bond between the boy and his family through joint participation in activities.

Boy Scouts
Boy Scouting is for boys in the sixth through twelfth grades. It is a rugged program of outdoor hiking and camping. Scouts learn leadership skills, to plan their own activities, to care for themselves, and to appreciate and respect the outdoors.

Venturing
Venturing is for young men and women, ages 14 through 21. It is a contemporary program which helps youth make intelligent decisions about their future with in-depth exposure to challenging activities and participation in adult-style social outdoor and citizenship activities. Crews can choose a focus out of these five areas: High Adventure, Youth Ministries, Arts & Hobbies, Sports, or Sea Scouting.

Order of the Arrow (Ni-Sanak-Tani Lodge 381 home page)
The Order of the Arrow (OA) was founded by Dr. E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A. Edson in 1915 at the Treasure Island Camp of the Philadelphia Council, Boy Scouts of America. It became an official program experiment in 1922 and was approved as part of the Scouting program in 1934. In 1948 the OA, recognized as the BSA's national brotherhood of honor campers, became an official part of the national camping program of the Boy Scouts of America.

Varsity Scouting
Varsity Scouting is a program for young men who are at least 14 years of age but not yet 18. It provides options for young men who are looking for rugged high adventure or challenging sporting activities and still want to be a part of a Scouting program that offers the advancement and values of the Boy Scouts of America.

Religious Emblem Programs
The religious emblems programs are created by the various religious groups to encourage youth to grow stronger in their faith.
