Philmont
Gateway Area Council sends two contingents to Philmont
Scout Ranch each year, on top of the area
scout troops that also attend on their own. This
is a good way for scouts to attend when their
troop can't get on the waiting list.
Our Council will host approximately 18 Scouts and leaders for the Annual Philmont Trek in Cimarron, New Mexico. Be a part of this High Adventure into the
Sangre de
Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains in northern
New Mexico.

2012
Hope you all are geared up for an exciting year of Boy Scouting! To
add to the excitement, we have some great events to look forward to in
2012. It is the year of the National Jamboree. If you have Boys
signed up to attend, outstanding! But for those of you who do not, we
just wanted to let you know that we have two crews reserved for an
expedition in 2012 at the Philmont Scout Ranch. High Adventure doesn't get more intense than Philmont!
